Tracking these metrics on a monthly basis will allow you to identify trends that will then help you to focus on areas that need further drill down to identify the drivers of over or under performance. <br />Your internal metric <b>definitions</b> can be used as the standard metrics for the industry. However, the knowledge behind your <b>monthly</b> internal data is a competitive advantage that should not be shared. What I have seen re industry benchmarks are <b>annual</b> surveys which are compiled from annual data submitted by companies in the industry. These are especially useful to use as guides and/or benchmarks when you are analyzing your monthly metric trends, and I would encourage you to particapate in them (or start one that becomes the Industry Standard!).<br /><br />JFAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
